About Johann Hurink

Johann L. Hurink received his Ph.D. degree from University of Osnabrück (Germany) in 1992 and stayed at this university till 1998 as an assistant professor. Since1998 he is employed at the chair Mathematics of Operations Research at the University of Twente where he is a full professor and since 2025 also the Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics. He has published more than 230 refereed papers. Current research mainly focuses on optimization and control problems for energy management.
